"tangiya" is located on out skirt of "souks", the maze like market area, near old palaces. we were escorted to roof terrace bar with live music upon arriving. yu masui ordered non-alcoholic minty cocktail. modern designed diner was filled with guests. and pattern on the wall was actually shadow from lighting middle of the balcony. we had "vegetable pastry"&"10 selection of moroccan salad" as starter. and for main, yu chose "couscous royale", beautiful chargrilled meats and very fine couscous like silk. kiyoko&miho's pick "lamb&pear tagine" and "lamb&fig tagine", chef's special for the day, were absolutely amazing, too! time went by, suddenly music started. quite big women walked in diner dancing with plate filled with candles on head. following them, young "sexy type" started traditional belly dance. obviously when they get older&bigger they have to retire from belly dance and becoming comical candle lady...anyway, diner at tangiya was fantastic, yummy dinner&great entertainment...perfect night!!
かつての宮殿跡近く迷路のようなマーケットエリア『スーク』のすぐ外側に位置するのがモロッコ料理レストラン『タンジーヤ』だ。到着するとすぐにライブ音楽が流れるルーフテラスバーに案内された。マスイユウはとりあえずノンアルコールのミントカクテルをオーダー。ダイナに向かうとモダンなデザインのレストランはお客で溢れていた。一行は『ベジタブルペイストリー』と『10種類のミニモロッコサラダ』を注文。マスイユウのメインは『クスクスロワイヤル』。炭火焼きの肉は柔らかく程よく火が通り、細かいクスクスはあたかもシルクの様な食感だった。また、キヨコさんの『ラムとペアーのタジーン』やシェフのスペシャルであったミホちゃんの選んだ『ラムとイチジクのタジーン』も美味。夜も深まると突然音楽始まり、阿多なにキャンドルののった盆をのせたガタイのいい女性が踊りながら登場。続いてセクシーな若い踊り子がベリダンスをはじめた。あからさまに年をとって太るとベリダンサーから半ばお笑いのキャンドル女に格下げされることが伺えた。。。それはともかく、おいしい料理に最高のエンターテイメント、今晩はパーフェクトな夜だった。
